"URBAN PROBES"

There is a fair amount of stuff that we can use to aid us with this whole "Urban Probe" thing, Im thinking dictaphones, maybe small maps that people can use to track their journey across the Lavpies area.

Maybe a list of stuff that the local population has concerns about, maybe some urban legends like childrens stories based in Madrid?? I dont know if we can take on that disposible camera idea, or do we think thats cheating? Anyway i think we could also do an orienteering style thing like leaving, i dont know, playing cards all over the Lavapies area and marking down on a map where we put them, then telling a person to collect any they see when they walk around the area so we can track the usual paths people take.

Below is just a small jpeg of my work so far on the built fabric and mapping of the local area, it is fairly difficult to work out exactly what each building is which is why some of the groups are a bit vague, my apologys for that.



I am planning to do another two similar to this. One of an even larger area maybe including all the important historical and contemporary sites for the population of Madrid and another linking the other squares [TERTIARY SITE] to our Primary site.

Oh yeah while i think of it, if anyone finds anything about the madrid festival at the begining of November jsut stick the link or whatever on here!
