This is an outdoor vertical garden called Caixa Forum a centre for Social and Cultural Outreach Projects and a place that hosts exhibitions and forums. It is an example of how the arcitecture and planning in Madrid is being aimed to encourage community cohesion and encourage cultural participation. The vertical garden above and the image below are both implementations of greenery and aspects of "the countryside" within a city environment. I feel this is because of a lack of greenery and parkland in the city, which maybe something we come back to later.
Atocha station Madrid is a main station in Madrid and its largest- serving both suburban and more widely accessible trains.
Whether or not these designers are Spanish I think is irrelevant, but I think some of these examples show the pride that Madrid takes in its Transport system but also the cities openness to design and sustainability, and the opportunities to take risks and be creative.
Cheers
Joe
